Marlaina Isbell
My journey to where I am today began on August 12, 1994. I was raised on the Oregon coast, but am about to start a new chapter in my life. Currently I am a senior at Neah-Kah-Nie high school, also enrolled full time at Tillamook Bay Community College, and plan to transfer to University of Oregon to study Political Science and Journalism. My educational goal is to graduate from law school and my career goal is to ultimately become involved in state or national politics. The highlight of my high school career, and what made me realize "what I wanted to do when I grow up" was participating on the speech and debate team, which I plan on continuing to do throughout college. The article I submitted "The Grocery Store Dilemma: Real Effects of Food Politics"' was my senior memorized persuasive speech that I have competed with all year.
