About John Morris

John Morris is retired and has lived in Nehalem going on 4 years. He worked for the UC system, the University of Oregon, as a builder, and a designer for the Burley Design Cooperative bicycle manufacturer. He studied Art and Environmental Studies at UC Santa Cruz, earning a BA in Sculpture at UCSC and an MFA in Sculpture at the University of Oregon. John worked in rural villages throughout Asia for the United Nations Development Program. He was a founding member of the Oregon Surfrider Foundation and served as an Advisory Board Member of CoastWatch for the Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition. He volunteers year round with the Lower Nehalem Community Trust.
